Our State Partners in Washington
In 2013, the Law Centers Alliance established a coalition of state- and regional-based legal advocacy organizations for women's rights and gender justice.
In 2013, with support from the National Institute, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington planned and hosted a pro-choice policymaker bootcamp.
In 2009, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, based in Seattle, developed a strong relationship with King County Public Health to act as members of the newly launched Social Justice and Equity Initiative. Through this partnership, the organization launched an emergency contraception community survey.
The CAIR Project (Washington) established and led a statewide coalition of reproductive health, reproductive justice, and disability rights organizations to expand their understanding of the barriers that a growing population of dual-eligibles face in accessing abortion care in Washington State. They are currently working towards a rule change that would address these barriers. They also initiated a storytelling project to increase awareness and build relationships within the disabled community.
