Can you imagine a panel full of brilliant, beautiful, strong women sharing knowledge about political issues that no one else wants to talk about? Well that’s what went down at the Politics of Birth event. A friend and I, along with the TORCH staff and some other great people, enjoyed listening to the perspectives and stories of the five panelists. They discussed the injustices that come along with giving birth and the many unheard mothers who are often denied the services they feel fit for them and their child. I feel that women are always being told what is best for THEM and what THEY are allowed to do, disregarding how they may want it to be done. Every woman, despite age, should have a say on when, where, how and if she will have her child.
