How We Partner
The National Institute believes that we have an opportunity and an obligation to help build the national movement to advance reproductive health, rights, and justice by engaging in partnerships that embrace the expertise of those working in communities, cities, and states across the country and create meaningful opportunities for building the capacity of those advocates.
A core element of the National Institute’s mission is to build a national network of local and state advocates and policymakers, as well as individuals, to work together to create and promote policy solutions to advance reproductive health.
Through our Urban Initiative for Reproductive Health, we have partnered with 46 organizations since 2008, working collaboratively to improve reproductive health outcomes in cities and municipalities in 30 cities in 24 states. Through our new Strengthen Our States Initiative, we are currently partnering with 15 organizations to help advance statewide reproductive rights advocacy strategies and launch winning campaigns to defeat anti-choice bills in 11 states.
